With a population of just more than 5,300, this small town offers students affordable housing located in a scenic and charming environment as well as close proximity to local colleges.

If inexpensive tuition and flexible class schedules top your college priority list, look no further than the Fayette County branch campus of Westmoreland County Community College. This two-year school in nearby Uniontown, Pa., is a great choice for students who wish to pursue an associate degree or professional certificate. Tuition and fees come to approximately $2,900.
