Located about halfway between Knoxville and Nashville, Cookeville is a self-described regional center of business, education, health care and retail. The City of Cookeville has about 30,000 residents and offers lots of greenspace and places to shop as well as affordable living.

Cookeville Colleges

Tennessee Tech University is located in Cookeville. The university offers more than 40 bachelor's programs and more than 20 graduate programs to its nearly 12,000 students. If personal attention is what you are looking for, Tennessee Tech tries to keep many of its classes to less than 25 students. Tennessee Tech University is ranked among the top public universities by U.S. News & World Report and was named one of the best schools in the southeast by The Princeton Review.
