Longview, Texas is a small city with a population exceeding 80,000 people. Located between Dallas and Shreveport, Longview offers residents the experience of small town living while also providing the access that comes with nearby larger cities. If you are considering higher education, you might want to put Longview, Texas on your plate.

One postsecondary choice to consider while living in Longview is LeTourneau University, which has an urban 162-acre campus serving 2,800-plus undergraduates. The university offers subjects ranging from aeronautical and engineering to computer science, education and natural science. Its tuition and fees land in the $23,000 area.

You can also take advantage of an education at the University of Texas at Tyler and never have to leave Longview. The Longview University Center is a satellite campus that offers majors in accounting, biology, business management, communications, education, nursing and more.
