Henrico County, Va. Colleges and Universities

Henrico County, Va. is more than just the location of the Richmond International Raceway. This county of more than 15 cities and 300,000 residents is an area filled with great schools and companies.

Henrico County colleges

The most popular college nearby is Virginia Commonwealth University. Located in Richmond, VCU offers 60 undergraduate programs, 107 graduate degree programs, and 41 certificates. The school has over 32,000 students and is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best national universities. Tuition is just under $10,000 for in-state students and $24,000 for out-of-state students.

Also near Henrico County, in Petersburg, is Virginia State University. VSU has more than 5,300 students, and has over 50 programs, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Tuition is just over $7,000 a year for in-state students and $15,000 a year for out-of-state students. Within an hour drive of Henrico County is The College of William & Mary and the University of Virginia, all helping show that residents truly do live in one of the best academic hubs in America.
