At which point, while attending one of Louisiana public collges you will be able to take advantage of the bustling nightlife, delicious Cajun food, and rich multicultural history. If you live outside of the city limits, you can take advantage of the lazy afternoons, southern hospitality, and scenic landscapes.

The State of Louisiana administers its own system of higher education, known as public colleges or universities, just like local governments and cities operate their own public K-12 school systems for local residents.

Louisiana public colleges and universities may also receive funds from the federal government and private sources, but in many cases the state is the primary source of support of public colleges.
