Coos Bay Colleges

The main college in Coos Bay is Southwestern Oregon Community College. SOCC offers a variety of certificate and associate degree programs as well as some online education coursework that could provide convenience for you. The school's certificate programs include bookkeeping, marketing, personal training and much more. Also located in Coos Bay is Oregon Coast Culinary Institute. The school offers two associate degree programs: Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts Management Training and Associate of Applied Science in Baking and Pastry. Programs last 12 months and cost $24,000 each. Tuition should always be top on your mind when planning your education. The average in-state tuition and fees in Oregon for 2011-12 was $4,029 for public two-year colleges, $7,988 for public four-year colleges, and $31,827 for private nonprofit four-year colleges, according to The College Board.
