A cozy city of 12,000 located a few miles south of Cleveland, Seven Hills boasts a large number of parks and recreation areas. With access to the Cuyahoga Valley Recreation Area and the state-of-the-art Seven Hills Recreation Center, residents are never at a loss for something to do.

Seven Hills Colleges and Universities

Chancellor University is located within the city limits of Seven Hills and offers associate and bachelor's degrees in a variety of business and professional disciplines, as well as a master's degree program in business administration. Short-term students can opt to pursue an associate of arts degree or choose from 10 professional certificate programs. The student body at Chancellor University comprised 700 students in the 2011-12 academic year, and tuition rates were reported as being much lower than the statewide average of $28,376 for four-year private institutions.

Career-minded students can pursue various professional diploma and certificate programs at Miami-Jacobs Career College just outside the Seven Hills city limits. The student body numbered about 400 in the 2011-12 school year, and available programs include medical assisting, massage therapy, criminal justice, phlebotomy and more. Annual tuition rates tend to exceed the two-year public institution average of $3,608.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Cuyahoga County workers enjoyed a 5.6 percent increase in average weekly wages between September 2010 and September 2011. What's more, overall job opportunities in the county rose by nearly a full percentage point in the same period. Office and administrative support jobs made up the largest portion of the local economy, and workers in the Seven Hills metropolitan area earned a mean annual wage of $43,690 in 2011.
